At first it was just a sore throat. You didn't think much about it. You decided to just get something to drink and move on with your day. Though, as the day progresses, it gets worse.

"What the fuck it up with you?"

You don't turn towards Five, because you knew he'd be able to detect you out in a heart beat. You hold in a cough, which causes Five to become more suspicious.

"Nothing."

His eyebrows scrunch together, before humming. He knew something was up and you knew that he knew. The problem is that Five would have never guessed you were sick. And even if he did know, he isn't capable of taking care of someone else; He can barely take care of himself. Besides, you don't trust him.

You awoke the next day with Five standing over you. You were sweaty and hot and freaked out. "What the fuck are you doing?" You manage to get out in a sore tone.

"You're running a fever. I think you're sick."

You look at him confused, before your eyes widen. He knew you were sick. You groan loudly, causing Five to frown.

"Why did you groan?"

"I didn't groan?"

He rolls his eyes but doesn't comment. He pulls out a bottle from his pocket, causing you to look at him confused.

"What's that?"

He doesn't look at you, "Medicine."

"For what?"

"You."

"I'm not sick."

He finally looks up at you, giving you a look that practically says 'I don't believe that shit.' He gives you the medicine, which you reluctantly take.

He's not good at taking care of you at all

He tries, he really does, but it's not something he ever really prepared for

It's hard for him to take care of anyone; But he wants to learn, only for you though

He probably goes to Viktor for advice, because he's the only one Five trust

So when Five does take care of you, you should really be thanking Victor

He's nicer to you than usual, which kind of sets you on edge, because why is he being so nice? You're kind of scared, but he holds himself together to make sure you know he's not faking it

It's also a way for him to prove to you that he can be a good boyfriend and he's perfect for you

Why would you need anyone when he's here? [If you even try, the person is going to disappear, so Five doesn't really have much competition]

But really, he's better at killing people than bringing them back to health

Though, if he does a good job taking care of you, he's flustered when you thank him and are even sweet to him

Maybe you should get sick more?

Because god does he love the attention

Some Viktor fluff because working on the long angst fic has been bringing me down.

Even in the early days of Hextech, it was a fight to get Viktor to rest even when he overworked himself into sickness. You would have to coax him with kisses and sweet nothings. Your voice always beckoned him back to bed each morning. Though, there was just so much for him and Jayce to learn about the Arcane and how to use it for good. They had just figured out how to create portals around the world to improve imports and exports! They couldn’t stop there. There were so many more projects to get done.

However, when you would look at him with a small pout telling him how he needs to take better care of himself, he felt a bit bad for making you worry. He also loved to indulge in your care. Maybe it was selfish of him to enjoy how you fussed over his health; he was happy to know for sure that you did care about him. You never let him feel unworthy or unseen when he was in your arms. So he let you pamper him every once in a while even if he had a mountain of work waiting for him at the lab.

On stormy days where his leg felt the worst, he would hold onto you for longer in the morning. Viktor would breathe you in and pepper kisses all over your face to wake you up. If that didn’t do the trick, he would call out to you using a dozen cute nicknames until you finally stirred. The way you look and the way your voice sounds in the morning never fails to get his heart racing. Upon hearing the crack of thunder, you would pull him down so his head was resting on your chest, and your heartbeat would lull him back to sleep. 

When he woke up again, you would help him over to the dining area where you’d have food and a warm cup of tea for him. It was your turn to cover his face in kisses while you went on and on about how handsome he is. The soft smile and blush he wore never left his face.Jayce always jokingly pestered him on those days—if you even let him leave the apartment—for being such a softie with you. 

When his health got drastically worse, it took a lot more effort on your part to get him to even take a long enough break to eat lunch and drink water. There wasn’t much time left for him to get his work done, and he told you that. You just didn’t seem to understand. He thought himself immune to your tactics to get him to rest, but he wasn’t prepared for you to come into the lab crying. Even worse, Jayce got up and left the two of you alone in the lab the very second you walked in. 

“I know you keep telling me you’re fine, but I know you’re not” you hiccupped. “Jayce and Heimerdinger and Sky have all kept me up to date with how you’re doing. Please, please take an off day with me again. You will have even less time if you refuse to take care of yourself.” 

A massive wave of guilt hit him hard at your words and tears. He’s known you really do care about him, but he didn’t realize how him not caring for himself would affect you. Viktor stood up supporting himself with a hand on his desk, and you rushed towards him enveloping him in a hug. He nuzzled his face into your neck and breathed you in for the first time in way too long. With you by his side, he went back to the apartment and let you pamper him. It truly had been far too long since he let himself indulge in your care.

Note: If there are any mistakes, please let me know! I am still working on the longer fic, but because it handles darker themes such as drug addiction and mental health disorders, I am making sure I am doing my best to accurately portray those things. Probably expect more of these small cute things while I work on that one :)

a/n: this is inspired by the current vi and jayce accomplishing nothing memes. i love that joke so much, so i decided to write a little story about it! also jinx remains as powder in this since no tragedy has happened. this is my first fic ever, so any advice on how to be a better writer would be greatly appreciated! thanks for reading, and i hope you enjoy <3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------it's your favorite class about your favorite subject full of your favorite people, so what could go wrong?

literally everything, apparently.

your teacher, mr. heimerdinger, announces a group project to the class. soon after, everyone chatters in excitement because you all like each other, so no matter what, you'll all end up with a good group. he starts calling names and organizing people into groups of three. as the options for your group narrow down, you look around to see who hasn't been called yet.

vi...ekko...ooh mel would be great for this, you think to yourself as you survey the crowd.

"mel, ekko, and caitlyn! you're a group," heimerdinger calls out, causing you and the class to frown.

"ugh, talk about unfair," one student murmurs.

"viktor, skylar, and elora, you're a group."

the options keep getting smaller, and as you look to see who hasn't been grouped yet, a horrible realization hits you. all that's left is you, vi, and...

no.

"jayce," heimerdinger says.

stop it now.

"vi."

this isn't happening.

to your dismay, heimerdinger calls your name. you turn to look at vi and jayce who are sitting next to each other, currently celebrating the pair up.

"hell yeah!" vi exclaims, raising a hand up to high five jayce. jayce enthusiastically moves his hand to hers-

and misses her hand.

seriously, how do you miss an unmoving target?

you watch as these bumbling fools try two more times before they can actually hit the high five.

you've got to be fucking kidding me.

jayce talis, the golden boy of the grade. he's a genius inventor with incredible ideas that will take him far in life. known to be smart and charismatic, most people would love to be grouped up with him for any assignment. as one of heimerdinger's star pupils, being his partner should be good news right?

wrong.

vi, the cool girl of the grade. she's not the most academically gifted person, but she does all of her work and tries her hardest to contribute to the group. she's known to be an amazing fighter and has a gift for making people feel better. rumor has it that caitlyn kiramman once went on a total rampage after losing her mother's expensive necklace. she was a raging asshole for a week, spewing mean things to anyone who stood in her way. vi was out sick for that week, so there was no one to console caitlyn.

when vi returned to school, she called caitlyn "cupcake" one time, causing her to switch sides immediately, reverting back to the sweet girl she's known to be. oh, and vi found the necklace too!

so a team up between a boy genius and a girl with a big heart should be amazing news. however, despite all of their incredible traits, when jayce and vi work together, all of that shit disappears.

they've been paired up together for projects before, and they're the only ones who love this match up. everyone else reacts in horror.

they're always onto absolutely nothing, cooking up plans and ideas that fail so miserably, it's almost impressive. during a lesson on hextech, they had the simple task of using a comically large hammer to aim and hit a target. the hammer was too big for vi to hold alone, so they used the power of friendship to hold it up together. they aimed for the target, and shot a blast.

it completely missed.

in fact, they missed so bad, that it ended up shooting through a window, resulting in it completely shattering. students had to dive for cover from flying glass shards. this prompted a severe tongue lashing from a very angry heimerdinger, who now had to pay for window repairs and do paperwork.

there was another time where they were sparring with some older classmates, got way too into the fight. they were in the middle of hyping each other up when a kid accidentally got in the way of their brawl. they totally knocked him on his ass, the poor thing got sent straight to the ground.

he recovered soon after, but he went home with a bloody nose the day of the impact. jayce was the one who dealt the punch, so he was wracked with guilt for the child he just injured. he sent the family some flowers as an apology, to which the mom responded with dead roses and a note saying: "eat shit".

he is not popular in that family.

knowing you're in for a disaster, you accept your fate, and walk over to a beaming jayce and vi. they are so excited to be partnered up with you, and it would be sweet sight if they weren't, well, them.

"this project is due next class, so please decide on a time outside of school to complete this. we have a lecture to finish," heimerdinger instructs.

vi offers her house, to which you and jayce agree. you're supposed to meet there about four hours from now, which isn't nearly enough time for you to prepare for the bullshit.

here we go.

four hours later, you're knocking on vi's door, trying to calm your already spiked nerves. it swings open to reveal a small girl with two blue braids.

"hi!" powder exclaims as she wraps you into a tight hug. it's been a while since you've seen vi's little sister, and you're relieved to know that at least one person in this house has sanity.

the two of you catch up for a bit while you wait for vi to bring you upstairs. powder tells you about her little crush on ekko, rambling happily about their adventures while you laugh at their antics.

ten minutes pass and vi still hasn't come down to get you, so now you're annoyed. that annoyance quickly turns into concern as a loud bang from upstairs shakes the entire house.

what the hell?

you and powder rush upstairs to see what the commotion is about. nearly ripping vi's bedroom door off its hinges in fear, you two run inside to make sure everyone's alright.

you look at the scene with disappointment as you see dumb and dumber standing in shock, eyes directed to the damage they just created. there's a giant dent in the floor, no doubt made by the hammer in jayce's hand. vi's giant gauntlets are at her side, which leads you to infer that they were sparring before the impact.

jayce is always doing some type of extreme damage with that hammer, you facepalm as you take in the scene.

you give them both a withering glare then yell at their foolishness.

"you idiots do realize that we're supposed to improve the hextech, not destroy buildings with it, right?"

powder runs downstairs to tell uncle vander what happened, and you sigh in frustration while the other two carefully set their weapons onto the ground.

"sooo...we should get started on the project now, yeah?" jayce offers as his hand rubs the back of his neck, clearly trying to fix the mood.

you let out an exasperated sigh.

"yeah, let's get started."

vi and jayce add another disastrous duo moment to their record. you've lost count of all their failures at this point.

during the entire project, they say stupid ideas or do reckless things. jayce swings the hammer around with zero regard for his surroundings, and laughs whenever vi sticks up her middle finger in the gauntlets. whenever one of them says something that sounds remotely smart, the other one says, "EXACTLYYYYY."

"do you think if we wrap the hammer in foam, we can prevent it from breaking things?" vi asks jayce, who shoots her a look of disbelief.

"you can't be serious," he responds in a critical tone.

you nearly jump for joy as you watch their interaction. for the first time ever, there's hope that one of them will finally be smart in the other one's presence.

"we should wrap it in air pillows, not foam. regardless, that's a great idea! we should test it out," jayce enthuses as he reaches for the hammer.

your hope shatters into a million pieces, just like that window they destroyed.

"no, no, no, no, no!" you interject as you swat his hand away, preventing them from causing more destruction.

"what crawled up your ass today?" jayce asks, offended by your behavior.

"heimerdinger's foot definitely did because you keep screwing up on his exams. don't hate on us because you have a D in this class," vi insults as she completely airs out your business in front of jayce.

jayce yells "OHHHHH" in response, then goes to dap up vi for flaming you. putting your head in your hands, you practice deep breathing so you don't completely lose your shit. it's not your fault that runes and hex crystals are so confusing!

uncle vander stops by shortly after the argument to inspect the damage, loses his mind, then goes to call uncle silco for assistance. you, vi, and jayce continue the project and pretend like vander isn't infuriated with all of you. you didn't even do anything but you still get wrapped up in this mess.

halfway through the project, vi gets a facetime call from caitlyn, to which she immediately responds. if you had a dime for every time vi called her "cupcake", you'd be a millionaire.

things get even more annoying when jayce gets a facetime call from mel, who he also immediately responds to. your friends yap to their girlfriends while you continue working on the project, silently reflecting on how terrible your luck is.

despite their annoying tendencies and horrific performance as a duo, they're somewhat helpful during the project. jayce uses his hextech knowledge to create solid ideas for improving the weapons. the secret to getting him to be his genius self? tell vi she isn't allowed to speak or be in the room while he works. you gave the same rule to jayce when it was vi's turn to contribute, and she actually came up with solid ideas for weapon functionality and protection.

turns out, separating them is a brilliant idea. you mentally pat yourself on the back for your effective plan.

the three of you finish the project and decide to do a movie night in celebration. jayce and vi miraculously land a high five first try, which makes you smile. they then take turns giving you a high five, making your smile wider. the pair gets too confident and tries to do a complicated handshake, which per usual, goes terribly.

jayce accidentally smacks vi (how does this even happen?), and vi punches his arm in return. the two playfully duke it out while you pull out your phone to record them for your private story. you caption the video "mfs when they horrifically fumble a situationship".

when they finish the fight, you realize you can't be their babysitter anymore. desperate to not be stuck with the moron brigade, you ask to invite the rest of the friend group, and vi agrees, complimenting you for coming up with a great idea.

"it's pretty easy to have great ideas when you two are full of terrible ones," powder shouts from the kitchen.

even though vi is taller, older, and arguably stronger, she is always getting destroyed by powder in a verbal battle. it's what makes their dynamic so amazing. vi opens her mouth to shout something back, but you put your hand on her shoulder and shake your head, letting her know it's no use arguing back.

about thirty minutes later, you're sitting in the living room with vi, jayce, mel, caitlyn, ekko, viktor, skylar, elora, powder and her new friend isha, claggor, and milo. you all watch a comedy movie to unwind from the stress of the day, and soon become thoroughly entertained by the movie's ridiculous humor. jayce and vi throw popcorn at each other, which annoys everyone. knowing there was no stopping them, you and mel make a bet on who will win. you choose vi and she chooses jayce like a supportive girlfriend.

mel slides you a crisp five dollar bill halfway through the movie.

as you sit and watch, surrounded by your friends who are full of the happiness and light that they deserve, you decide that maybe a group project with vi and jayce didn't turn out to be such a bad thing after all.

the hangout is full of jokes, silly arguments, laughs, and unbridled joy. even vander and silco stop by to check in on everyone from time to time, smiling at each other as they reminisce about their days as students. whenever those two enter the room, vi and jayce's bodies go rigid with stillness, trying to attract as little attention as possible from the angry set of uncles.

it was an amazing night of bonding with your friends and basking in the comfort of good company. you make a mental note to plan more of these, hoping to give your friends the enjoyment they deserve. when the movie ends, everyone gets off the couches to clean up as they discuss their thoughts on the movie. vi approaches you with a big grin on her face, then has the audacity to deliver the following line:

"this was so fun, the three of us should totally be partners again!"

since you're in such high spirits, you consider giving jayce and vi another chance. maybe they aren't all that disastrous, and maybe, just maybe, they can prove to be a competent duo-

"totally! for our next project we should try seeing how powerful a hextech blast can get! maybe we should go to the park and shoot it into the sky?" jayce schemes while vi's face lights up in excitement at the prospect of another hextech hangout.

never mind, you roll your eyes and mentally chastise yourself for even thinking of giving this another shot. these morons couldn't find a way out of their own asses if they were handed a map.

you fervently shut down their plan before they try making any more.

"absolutely not."

jayce and vi are definitely going down in history as one of the worst duos of all time.

Act 3 spoilers

I just wanted to voice my opinions on the entirety of act 3, I will be making another post focusing on Jayce because I am disappointed with his story specifically.

Let's start with what I'm happy with!

The display of Mel's magic was amazing. All her scenes were so powerful.

CaitVi is canon! (which was predictable for obvious reasons but i'm still happy for them)

The music choice was perfect, as well as the quality of the episodes, as expected. No matter the storyline's flaws, the art style itself is undeniably gorgeous.

Maddie dies IMMEDIATELY after betraying Piltover, so I'm happy with that. Don't get me wrong, I think the season looked rushed, but the instant karma of that scene was enjoyable. It's well executed shock value.

The Caitlyn/Mel and Ambessa fight sequence was SICK. They really emphasized Ambessa's strength and battle IQ here, and while I dislike her, it was satisfying to watch.

The JayVik ending. Now, I am very conflicted with this, but I'll focus on the positive part. THIS MOMENT WAS SO TENDER!! It revealed how much Jayce truly loved and cared for Viktor, and that Viktor thought Jayce to be the only person who could ever make him acknowledge the importance of humanity. Jayce was his last and only hope, and Jayce proved Viktor right in every timeline.

Jayce defenders, we won. We got an entire episode dedicated to what Jayce and Ekko/Heimerdinger went through, and it proved that JAYCE WAS RIGHT AND HIM AND EKKO ARE OUR SAVIORS THANK YOU 🙏

Jayce looked fine asf. That is a beautiful man and I'm expecting many more edits (pretty please).

Alright, now let's get to what I'm upset about.

Jayce's wasted potential. The way I see it, they just reduced him to a pawn in Viktor's character arc, considering that his life begins and ends with Viktor. It's sweet, yes, and can be counted as a win for JayVik shippers, but I really wanted more for Jayce. And yes, I will most definitely come back to this on my Jayce-centric post.

The lack of reaction to Jinx's and Jayce's "death". I'm honestly not sure if either of them are dead (I am also somewhat in denial). Mel lost her lover, of whom brought out a softer side of herself that she didn't even know existed, and there's no reaction? Not even a scene of her finding out? The same goes for Caitlyn, since she literally saw Jayce as an older brother. Then there's Vi, who's seen completely fine with Caitlyn, and Ekko, who's having the only appropriate reaction, but even so, it's too calm. We'd have to assume that there's been another timeskip, but it couldn't have been long since the war. ALSO XIMENA, Jayce's MOTHER, she's seen putting a paper of Jayce's name to burn and honor him after his supposed death, but her expression is blank. Just simple resignation. I don't know, the lack of reaction had me questioning why I was sad.

No proper reunion scenes besides Ekko/Jinx and Mel/Jayce?????I actually liked Ekko and Jinx's reunion, but Mel and Jayce? Not even close to what I expected or wanted.

This season was rushed; that's something everyone can agree on. I think it was very focused on action rather than the complexity of these people's relationships and minds, while the first season had a balance between both. There just wasn't enough time for that balance with all the information they had to give us.

Honestly, and this is gonna sound horrible but hear me out, I would've preferred it if they had episode 6 be the last episode instead, and used the act 2 to explore Caitlyn's dictator arc and truly emphasize how long Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger had been gone. I know how this sounds, but I really wanted to see more of Caitlyn and her mindset during the whole fascism plot rather than have her throw it all away three episodes later. It would've helped others understand her more, while also acknowledging how blinded she had become with anger and sadness. Also, this would've given more time for people to grow an attachment to Isha and see how she reminds Jinx of Powder!!! Just imagine it, the season closing with Jayce "killing" Viktor, no sign of Ekko or Heimerdinger, and Isha dying would have been even MORE devastating; the ultimate cliffhanger. There's no denying people would've been angry and shocked, but it would've made us want more, just like the first season did. I would be 100% willing to wait 3 or more years for the next season than have such an underwhelming ending.

Okay, I think that's it. Might add more to this post later if I come up with any other critiques, be prepared for the Jayce post because I NEED to talk about him.

the part where klaus dies and they give him marigold even though he stressed 100% that he didn’t want it makes me so sad. i get why they did it (he literally would’ve died if they hadn’t) but the panic in allison’s voice as she holds her dying brother and tries to figure out if it’s right to give it to him against his will is so heartbreaking

the first couple of episodes weren’t too terrible in my opinion? so it’s understandable that i’d find plenty more things i liked than i disliked in this episode. also all the things i pointed out that i liked were tiny little details when most of the season’s flaws imo were huge arcs / plot points that span multiple episodes so they might not be as relevant in a post of this format !!

might do this when i watch the rest of the seasons to truly identify if i really am too hard on this season (i don’t believe i am considering how many much smarter people have also stressed the issues with this season but it was fun so i might do it anyways)

At first, it almost stings. He still remembers Ivy, after all; her wandering around following Viktor or whoever caught her eye whenever she could. It was cute. Adorable, even.

But Mordecai seems to be the target of this little beast's attention. And no amount of waving her off, gently pushing her away with his foot or annoyed threats will get her to pick someone else.

The Savoys are enamored with the little bugger. Serafine started calling her "Bébé Couteau" (Baby Knife) after being allowed to teach her some knife tricks (why Asa let them put a knife in the hands of a kitten, Mordecai will never know) and Nico picked up the habit of startling the little girl by picking her up and spinning with her...Which slowly evolved into throwing her across the bloody bar into Serafine's arms after an accident that resulted in the kitten getting yeeted by a distracted Nico (apparently she loved it (and to Serafine's credit, she ran like Hell to catch her); so it's not exactly safe but it's okay??)

Several speakeasy attendees mistake her to be Mordecai's kitten since she's always hanging around him (and especially so if she's a Tuxedo cat). It probably doesn't help that he loudly objects to the twins throwing the kitten back and forth like a football and has even ripped her out of their arms once or twice

They also (correctly) assume that he calls the shots when it comes to her. If she's making trouble or is heading somewhere that she shouldn't be, someone has to work up the courage to tell that ferocious shadow of Asa's. It's him, the queen cat that looks like she's constantly considering stabbing you or the heartthrob at the bar vicious son of a bitch who always looks like he knows that he's better than you

It's an unspoken rule between the three that Mordecai's word is law when it comes to the kitten. He hates this and is sure that they just use this as another excuse to tease him.

Asa scares the Hell out of the poor little thing. He tried greeting her once and she burst into tears and ran to Mordecai so he could protect her. The twins thought this was hysterical: the kitten adores the ground Mordecai walks on, laughs at Serafine's threats and thinks Nico throwing her at a soft target as hard as he can is the bee's knees; but Asa Sweet-the big fat cat with the softest features out of all of them-scares the living daylights out of her.

Mordecai thinks the kitten has a good judge of character sometimes. If it wasn't for her love of the chaotic duo he'd say that out loud

They brought the kitten along to a "meeting" once when she were sick with a fever. She cried when Mordecai left the car and Serafine refused to leave until she was comforted or at least sleeping, so (after some arguing and sweet-talking) Mordecai went back for her. When he didn't leave the vehicle for a few minutes, the Savoys went on without him.

They came back to find him reading a book, the kitten snuggled up against his side and sound asleep tucked under his coat and arm. The soft look in Morde's eye told Nico that maybe this wasn't the time to be teasing him.

This didn't stop Serafine. Mordecai hasn't heard the end of that event. (Asa also gave him some Hell for leaving the twins to do the dirty work, but Serafine and Nico shut him down pretty quickly-they found whatever crate he wanted, no witnesses are around to tell the tale, the job was done just fine and the kitten needed him more than they did. Shut up, Mr. Sweet.)

Whoever's daughter the kitten is, they'd better learn to deal with Mordecai becoming her guardian angel of death. If she doesn't have a parent and just wandered in somehow, she's gonna end up with something better: an aunt that'll teach her to kill and how to stay strong, an uncle that'll toss her around like a hot potato and teach her to be fearless and another uncle that'll pretend to not care for her until someone looks at her the wrong way.

Mordecai, Serafine and Nico. Probably the worst-fitting cats to be any kind of parental figures, yet ones that will guard a mutually-adopted kitten until their final breaths-whether they'll admit to it or not.

Arcane Characters + Universal Studios Headcanons

Hi!! I wanna be more active on here and since I've hit a bit of an artblock I've decided I'll do my second favorite thing which is headcanons!

As a Floridian, I decided to start with a topic I am quite familiar with which is of course, Universal Studios. In this imaginary situation they have the 2 parks 1 day ticket bc that's the one I usually use.

Also this would be a modern setting for obvious reasons.

Jinx would 100% ride as many rollercoasters as she can. She rarely gets motion sickness.

If the lines weren't too long she would ride them multiple times all day long.

If they were, Cait and Vi would get sick of seeing her suffer through the long ass lines so they would just buy her an express ticket.

Ekko usually rides with her but he can only take so much.

When she was a little older, (still Powder by this point), Mylo tricked her into riding Jurassic Park (85 ft drop). He thought it'd just be a mean prank, little did he know he created a tiny adrenaline-seeking monster.

She would also violently compete against Caitlyn in Men in Black.

Favorite Universal Rides : Rip Ride Rocket, VelociCoaster, The Hulk, and Men in Black

Favorite Park: Islands of Adventure

I get the feeling Vi would be a foodie. And I can't blame her, theme park food is a lot of fun to explore. (I spent a good chunk of 2018 binge-watching DFBguide)

She would always try to go to a new restaurant every trip, and you will most likely find her chomping on a turkey leg.

When it comes to rides though, she also likes her fair share of rollercoasters. Though, she tries to ride them in the morning off the bat so she could eat in peace without feeling sick later.

I do think she'd like the 3D rides a lot too! I can definitely see her liking Transformers and Spider-Man.

Favorite Universal Rides : Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Rip Ride Rocket, Revenge of the Mummy

Caitlyn likes the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I know this is a bit on the nose because her VA was literally in Harry Potter, but it's a good combo between atmosphere, thrill, shopping, and treats.

I don't think Caitlyn is too into rollercoasters. I think she'd be more into rides with movement and a few drops rather than full on coasters.

The HP rides are mostly pretty tame in comparison to the rest of the coasters in the parks, so I can see her liking those the most. Gringotts and Forbidden Journey in particular.

I think she'd definitely be the most into shopping, her favorite park would probably be Studios due to this.

She likes going to Honeydukes with Vi, they like trying all the different sweets and treats together.

Lets Jinx win in Men in Black because she knows if she beats her Jinx will be annoyed at her for the rest of the day. If she's not going against Jinx though, she would absolutely annihilate you.

Favorite Universal Rides : Gringotts, Forbidden Journey, Men in Black

Favorite Park: Universal Studios

This poor man has a horribly weak stomach.

Jayce is NOT a rollercoaster fan. He is strictly 3D and dark rides only, with very few exceptions.

Hell I think the Gringotts drop might be too much for him. Not the first cart, but the second cart for sure makes him feel uneasy. (I am projecting, sitting in the second cart was not fun for me LMAO)

I think he and Viktor would have a blast looking into the behind the scenes part of theme parks, especially the engineering element.

If they're in Universal Studios Hollywood they would absolutely do the Studio Tour.

With the level of charisma he has, I can see him LOVING meet and greets. He really loves playing along with the characters. By the end of the day he'll have his little autograph notebook full of characters.

Favorite Universal Rides : The Simpsons Ride, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Transformers

Favorite Park: Universal Studios

Viktor doesn't really mind rollercoasters. He wouldn't die on them like Jayce, but he doesn't actively seek to ride them. Maybe if the line was short and the group wanted to ride it, sure.

Actually speaking of lines, he would get an accessibility pass so he wouldn't have to stand for extended periods of time. He would also make sure to sit down and take breaks as to not strain his leg too much.

Breaks could also mean going to watch the many shows Universal provides, like the Horror Makeup Show or The Bourne Stuntacular.

Back to rides though, he likes, no, LOVES Transformers. It's fast, the queue is very scientific-esc, and honestly.. transformers just give me machine herald vibes.

He is very awkward when it comes to meet and greets, so he's usually just taking the picture for Jayce. However, the only meet and greet he really truly looks forward to is the Transformers. He is extremely fascinated with the way Universal was able to create such an immersive and realistic looking replica of them.

I think him and Jayce would be intrigued by the interactive wands in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. They think it's fun that they found a way to create the illusion of magic by using sensors in the wands.

I think he'd like Forbidden Journey bc the ride makes you feel like you're flying, and he seemed to be having a blast in Ep 3 haha

Favorite Universal Rides : Transformers, Forbidden Journey, Skull Island: Reign of Kong (literally only to see that insanely realistic looking animatronic)

SWEET TOOTH AU RAMBLINGS PART TWO SPARROW (+ Lila) EDITION

in light of the finale i now live in a fantasy land. again, love to @alucardens for letting me yap <3. it's sparrow time *sparrows all over those guys*

(ps this is a companion post to this one.)

in my mind, the sparrows are way closer to the Zhang wolf boys than the brellies would've been. they're the ones who would be trained to be weapons for the Commision's gain, and they would also be the ones sent to try and track down the brellies/preserve kids. they're also slightly younger than the brellies as they wouldn't have been in the initial first wave of hybrid kids.

that being said, the Commision is under the control of the Handler at this point and she's hellbent on capturing the brellies in her crusade to cure the sick. they essentially function like the Zhang family, albeit arguably worse because we all know how the Handler runs things.

Marcus would be an ox/calf hybrid (his horns are just coming in and Viktor is only slightly jealous), Fei is a raven hybrid for obvious reasons, Alphonso is a bulldog hybrid, Sloane is a lion hybrid, Jayme's a white tiger hybrid, and Chris is a chameleon hybrid. sparrow Ben could work in this au as brelly Ben's twin brother and a river otter hybrid, but i'm not absolutely sold on that just yet.

the sparrow kids are generally much more aggressive and "wild" than other hybrids and are incredibly avoidant of adults when given the opportunity. they stick together as a pack, but infighting often occurs (and is sometimes encouraged) as they try to settle into a pecking order. i like to think they sneak "contraband" (music, books, candy, etc.) in after missions and share it, even if they're currently beefing. Marcus loves old magazines and comic books, Fei has a hidden stash of gothic horror novels, Alphonso and Jayme both love finding old CDs/cassettes and snacks, Sloane loves collecting old maps/travel guides, and Chris loves anything and everything shiny.

Lila is a maned wolf hybrid (not fox, not wolf, a secret third thing!) and the Handler's "favorite" kid out of the Commision's roster. the Handler sends her in as a more covert threat, calling her in to Grace at the preserve as a hybrid kid for pickup. she reports back on the integrity of the preserve and any weak points that the Handler could use to raid and take the brellies. she's not as good with the other kids, but she's not quite at Viktor levels of unsocialized. gradually, she realizes that Grace and the brellies are genuinely good to her and tries to break free from the Handler's control.

(Lila would also be raised to be ashamed of being a hybrid, as the Handler looks down on them. she would've dropped a lot of mannerisms that came naturally to her like wagging and vocalizations, going so far as to pin her ears down to appear human. while living at the preserve, she slowly starts to unlearn all of this)

she bonds the closest with Diego, but quickly forms friendships with all of the other brellies. Five is the most sus of her, thinking that she's too calculated and recognizing some tics he and his siblings picked up from training. the other kids are quick to defend her, saying that she's a hybrid like them and therefore deserves to be at the preserve no matter what. i think she'd figure out the best activity for each of the brellies in order to get close- sports with Luther, bracelets with Diego, collecting feathers and painting with Allison, scavenging for shiny things with Klaus, observing/surveying the preserve with Five, reading with Ben, and listening to/playing music with Viktor.

things go sideways pretty quickly after the Handler gets enough info on the preserve to launch an attack and Lila's role in her plan is revealed. the brellies make a run for it and the sparrows pursue them. along the way, they learn about hybrids' origins in Alaska, kicking off the race in season 3.

I am super sick and took all my medicine to make myself feel a little better in order to read the new chapter last night and omg I have so much to say but i can’t quite put it into words (・∀・)i really really loved this chapter it was absolutely worth the wait!!also the deep talk between nastasya and the reader??(nikolai threatening viktor made me giggle)i love the parts were we get to know more about the side characters in the story and nikolai ohmygoshghshh i feel like I won’t stop talking when it comes to him,,getting to know about his experiences in prison and how he went from a cheerful guy to how he is now,and the way viktor was so worried about him especially during their little argument…he also seems to be getting attached to the reader!he just deserves all the love in the world and more :((

..and the last part gave me butterflies when nikolai was opening up but it’s definitely bcs he was not sober at that moment,I didn’t expect him to be so affectionate but gosh it was so sweet (∩ˊᵕˋ∩)･* the chapter really made my day,it was amazingly written as always!!♡♡

now that lila and five are talking about the cleanse--why do their powers appear the way they do now? some of theirs haven't changed, like diego and luther, some of them have a bit, like five's viktor's and ben's (i suppose viktor's is still sound-based) and some of their are entirely different (like lila's). don't know allison's yet though.

overall: what is going on??? again, i have many questions. I also feel like some of the time in the episode was wasted on things like puking and weird jokes, so there wasn't a lot of plot. The time they spent at the carnival dragged on for a bit. I am still very intrigued, though--and worried, because two episodes have passed and not a lot has happened.

I got Covid for the first time yesterday and I've been miserable but oh my god the sketches are like buckets of seretonin! Your wonderful responses have given me enough confidence to come off of anon lol.

Again I agree with all of what you've said. I'm so very torn because I was a League player back in 2014 and then Arcane reawoke the love I had for the game. I thought Viktor was really cool in League, badass scientist dude! And then Arcane Viktor? I just wanna give him a hug and tell him he's gonna be okay. So I'm torn. I wanna see the Herald in all his power, but I also want Viktor to remain the absolute gem that he is.

I'm a Jhin main though, I love that angsty man. He's a fascinating character, a meticulous criminal psychopath who believes his victims are works of art. There's something about the dynamic of Jhin seeing Viktor as a work of art so priceless that he couldn't stand to kill him. And Viktor, recently struggling with the Hexcore and how he perceived Jayce's lack of understanding (refer to me crying at "Jayce will understand" followed by "I'm from the Undercity" scenes). Having Jhin by his side, admiring his work and seeing the shades of purple in Viktor's skin as splashes of watercolour rather then corruption by the Hexcore??? They could be good for each other, in their own anti-hero way.

I had to chuckle at the throuple idea with Jayce. I love Jayce, I think he's a bit of a dork (affectionately). It's likely that he'd be quite intimidated by Jhin.

And I agree with you, Viktor must have lost so much trust in Jayce with this "they're dangerous" sentence. He thought their dream and goals were the same until this scene. I think Jayce managed to regain some trust at the end of the season (with his speech to the councilors) but I don't think Viktor would ever see Jayce as he used to (in the context that their divorce goes super slowly). Even if our dear Jayce gave independence to Zaun. i-i It took me some time to appreciate this character, he is a little bit more complex to understand than the other ones. Most of the others champions have a clear motivation and path to follow while Jayce is a little bit different imo. In act 1 he is this clever young scientist who is risking everything to prove his theory and in the other acts he just say "yes" to everyone haha! Sorry I'm talking a lot about Jayce (or Viktor) cause they're the only character that I know haha! I'm going to read Jhin lol's lore thanks to you! SHE/HER / have you ever heard of I SO HATE CONSEQUENCES by relient k?  it describes BARBARA ‘BABS’ ALLERDYCE to a tee! the twenty seven year old CASHIER AT UTTERLY SWEET was spotted walking down the beach - do you know them? would you say SHE is more awkward or more HEARTFELT instead? anyway, they remind me of almost always running late, the guilty pleasure of watching reality tv all day, the vague realization that something is burning in the other room, and eating ice cream directly from the container with smudged makeup because you tried your best but it wasn’t good enough, maybe you’ll bump into them soon!

Babs started life being dealt the wrong hand; the second child, it's not that Babs wasn't loved - because she was, very much. She was just an extremely unlucky child; she was often sick, and somehow Murphy's Law seemed to follow her around. Things were constantly going wrong in her life, be it a fight between friends, flunking assignments, or just her constantly getting sick and her parents trying to figure out what they could do.

She was undoubtedly a daddy's girl, and she adored Viktor with her whole heart. She liked when he'd take time off to stay home with her, and even when small stress fractures began developing between him and her mom, she often ran to his defense. It wasn't that she didn't love her mother - because she did. But as a child, she didn't understand the complexities of adult relationships and how Viktor taking time off work was an issue.

While things were rocky, they were stable - until Babs' older brother, Jason, got into an accident. He had been dropping off a friend and someone had driven by, mistaking him for someone else and shot him before screeching off. The entire Allerdyce family was rocked from that moment on. Soon the foundation of the marriage came tumbling down, and Babs found herself a child of divorce with a father who was both trying to be there for her as much as he could but someone who was also drowning himself in work.

Babs felt lost; she lost motivation in most things and only finished high school because she had to. It was around this time that she met Hero Dixon, and their on again/off again relationship started. With his inability to commit, and her insistence that she was a magnet for bad things happening, it felt like a cursed pairing from the start - no matter how deeply the pair loved or cared about each other, there simply wasn't a world where it could work long term.

Babs flit from job to job every six months; her bad luck continuing to follow her and often get her fired from jobs or needing to leave because she'd gotten sick (she just had a weaker immune system than most, but occasionally it caused her to wind up in the hospital from dehydration) and couldn't work.

When Viktor brought Vivienne into Bab's life, she was nervous, but also excited. She had mended her relationship with her mother, but Vivienne didn't seem to want to replace that role in Babs' life - she just wanted to be another form of support for her, which Babs welcomed with open arms. Her life constantly seemed to be spiraling out of control, and even just one more extra pillar sounded like it would make all the difference.

Despite her constant misfortunes, Babs is extremely social, managing to make friends every time she goes out and even finds herself falling in and out of different romances (some better than others). While she does view herself as cursed and a hashtag girlfail, she tries to take it in stride most days, cracking jokes with friends and rolling her eyes to keep things light. If it wasn't for Auggie by now she'd have gone completely inside, but girls that fail together gotta stick together, and as long as she has her family on her side, Babs feels like she'll be able to get through whatever life throws at her.

Hey glass! Saw phantom in Melbourne tonight and thought I'd give a little update/review about it. Josh (piterman) and Amy were back but Joshua (robson) was still on as raoul, as well as a fairly skeleton ensemble! I wonder where Joshua's outfit is from?

He did amazing as Raoul! He definitely played a more arrogant/head empty raoul as opposed to Blake's very naive but puppy dog style, but his booming ex-phantom voice served it well. I also felt he held himself and flicked his coat in a very phantom-esque way throughout. He stumbled on a few spoken lines but sang marvellously. Despite his more outgoing raoul he still did the very soft waist touch blake usually does before the kiss, which is sweet.

During masquerade, him and Amy were completely off the stage for most of the number (assumedly because he doesn't know the choreo) and just came on and off to deliver their lines. Everyone else was subtly shifted around to fill the gap. It's a shame because it means you barely see their costumes, but it was a good fix I think.

Hilariously, amy usually does a very small slap to blake, but when she delivered her small slap to joshua he spun back like he'd been punched lol.

He also was audibly choking and struggling the whole time in final lair, very visceral. I liked his raoul a lot!

Anyway, hope that was interesting! Many of the cast seems to be down with the virus currently so we'll see how things progress.

I was quite curious to hear how Joshua Robson would do as Raoul considering that his previous experience was in a completely different production (Sydney Harbour) as a completely different character (the Phantom), but it sounds like he did pretty well all things considered, doing a bit of his own take but also taking inspiration from the principal, and it's interesting how they worked around parts that he probably couldn't learn in only a few hours, like the dancing. Would definitely have loved to have seen his totally exaggerated reaction to Amy Manford's very small slap ha ha, it makes the scene sound almost like a slapstick comedy.

I've heard that 14 (!) members of the cast are out either because they're sick or were exposed, so big oof, and I hope they feel better or don't get sick, but it's made for some absolutely wild cast combinations. Thank you again for the review!

A/N: Someone asked me for a continuation of the previous piece that I wrote with this AU where Ben got annoyed with the two so I wrote it! It's not long and this hasn't been read through at all but I hope that you enjoy it anyway. Stay sissy and bitchy everyone <3

Ben loved his siblings. 

That much was unquestionable. Someone that didn’t love his siblings wouldn’t follow one of them around for almost thirteen years trying to keep them out of trouble and alive. Someone that loved his siblings wouldn’t continue to keep up a lie that kept both of them safe in a world that was constantly threatening to kill them. Someone that loved his siblings wouldn’t refuse to pass into the afterlife just to make sure that they all got reunited again and got to live the rest of their lives as a happy family.

With all of that being said, Ben was also starting to get a little bit annoyed with the behavior of two of his siblings.

He had traveled back in time with the rest of them, landing with Viktor and Klaus in the sixties. He had followed after them and even helped Klaus perform the tricks that they needed so that they could keep their status and money. It helped them squirrel themself and Viktor away from prying eyes that would want to hurt them for being queer and trans. Ben had followed the two of them through countless states and into a couple of different countries to make sure that he could help them when they needed it. He had been there to talk to Viktor and help him figure out some of the bigger aspects. He had been there so that Viktor had someone to spar with, someone that wasn’t going to get hurt while the living superpowered man tried to figure out how to control his powers.

He wanted to be there for them, he loved them so much that his non-beating heart ached in his chest like nothing else. He loved being able to watch Klaus get sober for the first time in their life, now thriving and happy. He loved watching Viktor blossom into a real person now that he was off of the medication he had been drugged with his entire life, growing and blossoming into who he was today.

The only thing that he could ask for, the only other thing that he wanted with his afterlife, was to avoid walking in on his siblings. He didn’t care that they were more in love than he had ever seen two people be in love, but he was sick of it.

He had been walking through the halls of the mansion that they were staying in, his eyes flitting through the rooms as he searched for Jill. When he was unable to find her, assuming that she had gone to the nearby town with some of the other cult members, he decided that he was going to seek out the companionship of his brother or sibling.

Ben should have known better than that by now. He should have known that he was going to run into something that he didn’t want to see given how open Klaus had made sure the cult was about sex. He should have known that Viktor and Klaus did it wherever and whenever they wanted without much fear of being caught. All of the cult members avoided Viktor, especially when he was spending intimate time with Klaus.

Despite it all, despite how much he knew he should have been cautious, he still wasn’t. He had stepped directly through the closed door and into the master sweet where Klaus and Viktor spent most of their time and then let out a shout of frustration.

They were laying in the middle of the huge master bed, completely unclothed. Based on the squelching noises, Klaus was buried deep inside of Viktor, though Ben hadn’t stared long enough to know that for sure. He didn’t want to be seeing this and he certainly didn’t want more details about his sibling’s sex life seared into his brian. 

The couple of the bed startled apart at the sudden noise before Klaus cracked a smile and began laughing. There was a small smack, which Ben knew was Viktor slapping Klaus on the shoulder. “Sorry, Ben,” Viktor said, compassionate despite not being able to really see his brother. 

“Tell Vik I said it’s fine after the two of you are done,” Ben instructed as he quickly left the room. He just wanted one day where he could avoid that happening, but it looked like he was never going to get that.
